What is COMPOST 4 FUN

“This game is a great new way for people to learn about home composting. It brings the process of recycling kitchen and garden waste to life and we hope it will inspire a whole new generation of home composters,” said Naomi Chatterley, Campaign Manager for the Recycle Now Home Composting Campaign.

The game is accessed online and players are asked to build the perfect compost bin. Points are scored by correctly adding compostable items to the compost bin - egg shells, vegetable peelings and even vacuum cleaner contents will all boost a player’s score. However, adding non-compostable items such as cooked or processed foods will see points deducted.
